Stop for amazing photo's looking back along the Great Ocean Road. Lorne is a favourite destination for many Melbournians. Set amongst tall gum trees this seaside village is the place to be seen on the Great Ocean Road.

The Great Ocean Road has been carved out of ancient focilised sandstone dating back 60 million years. Elevated above the green waters of Bass Straight you'll be inspired by the Great Ocean Road's beaches as you journey along this coastline.

Kennett River is a place where Koalas literally hang above the Great Ocean Road. Pull in to the car park just off the Great Ocean Road and you will see these cuddly creatures chilling out in the eucalyptus trees. One of the true highlights of our Great Ocean Road day tour.

The Great Ocean Walk is an inspiring walk from Apollo Bay to the Twelve Apostles. It's a 102km journey and we walk the last section of this increadible walk. This is the only time on this journey you will not share the sight of the 12 apostles with other tourists. Amazing!

Loch Ard Gorge is my personal favourite spot along the Great Ocean Road. You have the chance to swim in the natural pool which is almost enclosed by 60m high limestone walls. Hear heroic stories of human survival during a shipwreck in 1878.

We head to Teddy's Lookout one of the best lookouts on the Great Ocean Road. Teddy's Lookout was named after a Park Ranger who often had to round up stray live stock.

Apollo Bay is the half way make on along the Great Ocean Road between Melbourne and the Twelve Apostles. A beautiful setting still with the old seaside village charm. Enjoy a delicious lunch with many choices.

Great ocean road tours depart the city approximately 8am and travel south west towards the ocean.

Travelling towards your first stop keep your eyes out for wild kangaroos, making a stop for photographs if they are out to play. Stop for morning tea at Angelsea. We will then journey past the magnificent Split Point Lighthouse before arriving at the Memorial Archway built in 1937 marking the gateway to this famous coastal drive.

Your next stop will be a photo opportunity in the beautiful seaside town of Lorne. Here you will be able to see surfers riding the curling point break. Continue your journey along the most scenic part of this morning’s drive with a photo opportunity at Cumberland River gorge then we will wind along this inspiring coastline towards Kennett River where koala's hang above the road.

Continue your journey towards Cape Patton the highest elevation of this morning’s drive, the last section of the Great Ocean Road complete in 1940 which at the time was an engineering feat supported by thousands of tonnes of boulders.

After lunch in Apollo Bay we make our way across the Otway’s heading towards your next stop a beautiful bushwalk through a temperate rainforest showcasing an ancient world once known as Gondwana. We then journey through the Ayre river wetlands making our way towards the amazing limestone coast & the 12 apostles.

You will walk down Gibsons steps* which take you to the beach and the Gog stacks where you'll feel dwarfed by towering sheer cliffs and the scale of our coastline.

The world famous 12 Apostles Lookout is next where you will see the most apostles from any other point. Loch Ard Gorge is next. Dripping with maritime history you'll hear stories of bravery & historic tall ships. It is normally the hottest part of the day so reward yourself with a swim. Finish your day with the best example of evolution along our coastline at London Bridge*
